Installing Your BUNKAPS®
Boating World Online has written a nice step-by-step installion article on

Trailer
bunk carpet collects sand, mildews and wears very quickly, exposing
the delicate hull of your watercraft to abrasive surfaces. First,
remove your existing bunks and use them as a pattern. If wooden core
is rotten, use new wood or steel for bunks. |
Installation
is simple and requires only a few tools. Here, the BUNKAPS® are being
pre-drilled and installed on the wooden bunks using a drill for holes
and a power screwdriver for installation. |
 |
 |
|
Using
a measuring tape, measure for the precise location of the bunks on
your trailer for optimal use. Try to replace the brackets in the same
relative position as before. Tighten to conform to the hull. |
Alignment
and tightening are critical. Take time to be precise, and it will
pay off in dividends. When possible, use carriage bolts rather than
lag bolts. Where practical, use stainless steel fasteners for maximum
life expectancy. |
